The Longest Day of Trails is a 17-hour dawn-to-dusk solstice event to raise awareness of the Gallatin Valley Land Trust’s role in building and maintaining local trails – and a drive to solicit new GVLT members.

To celebrate Bozeman’s extraordinary trail network – event founder, Dan Harding and members of the GAS/Intrinsik Architecture cycling team will continuously ride their bikes from sunrise-to-sunset on a meandering 25+ mile loop through Bozeman to showcase the Main Street to the Mountains Trail System.

The GVLT conserves southwest Montana’s heritage of open landscapes, working farms and ranches, healthy rivers, and wildlife habitat; and creates trails to connect people, communities and the land.

100% of proceeds from Longest Day of Trails sponsors, new GVLT memberships, and the custom Carl Strong bicycle raffle will benefit the Gallatin Valley Land Trust.

The best way to learn about the Gallatin Valley Land Trust and to support their efforts is to stop by the Longest Day of Trails headquarters on Friday, June 19th. Incentive gift packages from local businesses will be provided to individuals who become GVLT members on the Longest Day of Trails. Additionally, Montana Ale Works will host the Longest Day of Trails party at sunset where a custom-built Carl Strong bicycle worth over $2700 will be raffled to benefit the GVLT.
